FFH has received favorable response from the ICSD but one condition is you!

Friends deaf athletes, the future is now.
React together!

Dear sport friends deaf, Dear leaders,

As you probably know deaf athletes have been suspended from all official international competitions.

It is impossible for us to change our bylaws to establish a special committee dedicated to practitioners deaf as required by the International Federation, the ICSD, without risk of touching our foundations including the unbalanced representation of different disabilities within of our Federation.

Recognizing the enormous mess experienced by deaf athletes, particularly those practicing high-level Steering Committee of the HIF has demonstrated an open mind on this issue a priority. It was decided to create in our statutes for a new position of Vice-President who would be exclusively reserved for an elected deaf.

This proposal was welcomed by the ICSD. Jean-François Labes, deaf Committee elected current Director has been appointed as the logical candidate.

Despite this strong gesture of HIF, the ICSD has imposed a new condition.
President Craig Crowley wants the associations incorporating redundant deaf say directly support this proposal. Therefore I now ask you to finally shed this situation.

A solution consistent with the expectations and culture of each is near. Thanks to you and with you, we have the opportunity to finally take the path? Peaceful development of sport for the deaf in France in harmony. Let us use here in the interest of sport and athletes that we must protect.

We will meet the President of the ICSD in London on August 4 this year with Jean-Francois Labes.

Even now, without waiting, I invite you to mobilize, if you support the approach proposed by FFH, by sending a letter today to support e-mail to him that we ICSD@handisport.org pass early August. Your early commitment will enable us to determine return on the only ground that must come together and we love: sports.

Today and in the coming days that will decide the future we want to build with all deaf sports and leaders together. Your opinion counts!

I thank you for your letter of 26th June. Please accept my apologies for the snail response due to other pressing issues.

I was interested to learn of your efforts to enable FFH to conform to ICSD statutes by empowering French Deaf Sport to influence their policies through FFH and its Vice-President with responsibility for Deaf Sport & Deaflympics.

I would assume that French Deaf Sport Associations would support your proposal warmly and inevitably this would also help provide ICSD with reasonable resolution for FFH.

I shall be grateful if a meeting can be arranged in London in August to ensure agreement is reached to enable FFH to retain its FULL membership status.
